Pisco Sour

This classic Peruvian cocktail makes use of pisco, a type of South American brandy. Use fresh lime juice if you can. If this recipe is too sweet, or if you want it a little boozier, use only 3/4 oz each of lime juice and simple syrup.

Ingredients
  • 2 oz pisco
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • Angostura bitters
Instructions
  1. Put the pisco, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
  2. Add a handful of ice and shake for 10 more seconds.
  3.  Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with a few drops of bitters.
Serves 1.
