Mojito

After drinking 3-6 mojitos a day while in Cuba last year, I was craving them when I returned home. With so few ingredients, make sure to use the best ingredients, namely the rum. Please do not use Bacardi. Personally, I love Don Q. I found this on Esquire.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lime, cut into two
  • 1 tsp. superfine sugar
  • 3 mint leaves
  • 2 oz. white rum
  • Club soda
  • Highball glass (aka Collins)
Instructions
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle lime juice with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon superfine sugar.
  2. Add the few mint leaves, mushing them against the side of the glass.
  3. Fill glass 2/3 with cracked ice and pour in the rum.
  4. Top off with club soda or seltzer.
  5. Serve.
Makes 1 drink.
