The Expat

This drink was created at Nopa, a San Francisco restaurant, and uses cava. Cava is a Spanish sparkling wine, although to my unsophisticated palate, it tastes just like champagne. Regardless, this is a nice cocktail that combines cava and sherry, both of which I like.

Ingredients
  • 1 spoon raws sugar or simple syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 oz dry amontillado sherry
  • Spanish cava
Instructions
  1. Place sugars, bitters, and sherry into a champagne flute.
  2. Top off with cold cava and serve.
Serves 1. Drink up.
