Pop Cider

After searching at great length for a holiday-themed sparkling drink to serve at a dinner party, I came across this intriguing one from Serious Eats. It sounded exciting not only because it had a short ingredient list (goal #1) but also because it featured a new drink ingredient, Benedictine.

Benedictine is a herbal and honey flavored liqueur that isn't overly strong in the proportions used in this recipe. It adds a delicious floral touch, and -- of course -- was a big hit at the party.

Ingredients
  • 2 ounce Bénédictine liqueur
  • 1 ounce apple cider, chilled
  • Prosecco, chilled
Instructions
  1. Combine Benedictine and cider in a champagne flute (or wine glass).
  2. Top with Prosecco.

Serves one. Drink up.
